About Me

Greg McMahan, the Owner/Broker, of Cherokee Foothills Realty. I grew up in the Appalachian mountains and fell in love with the Table Rock area at first sight. I am passionate about helping you find your perfect home or to sell your property and will work diligently to ensure your satisfaction. My goal is not only to be your realtor, but to be your guide to help you get through the often complicated process of buying or selling property. 

I believe God is in all things, but I have always felt that there are places God took extra time and with his mighty hands he made places of beauty, solitude and strength where the weary of heart could find a renewal of spirit and faith. A place unspoiled by man that would offer comfort and protection amid the unbounded beauty of nature. A place where ancient forests with towering trees, mighty cliffs of rock and stone, babbling brooks, roaring rapids, soaring peaks, breathtaking vistas and peaceful hollows combine to form a peace and contentment and true happpiness that can only come from God. Those special places are called the Mountains. 

I know I have been blessed to get to work in an area as beautiful as this. My job takes me out in the woods alone almost every day. I get to see crystal clear lakes and ponds that reflect the green mountains and the blue skies, The sounds of the forest as she wakes in the mornings, the evening sun that bathes the sky in red with another glorious sunset. The crunch of a fresh snow that makes the forests and valleys as quiet as a church. All this just lets me know the presence of God is not only found in a church, but for me is found often is a quiet glen surrounded by the beauty of nature, or in the forests listening to the relaxing sound of a rushing mountain stream , or high up on a mountain where you can see for miles and miles. From gorgeous mountain views, cascading waterfalls, to fantastic lake properties on Lakes Keowee or Jocassee, this is a truly wondrous place.
